Cookie Policy
The site sets no tracking or analytics cookies of its own; your settings live in browser local storage.
Google AdSense sets advertising cookies to serve and measure ads. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent first.
You can opt out of personalised ads at Google Ads Settings or block cookies in your browser; the tool still works.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels, device identifiers) are covered by this policy too. shortsai.app uses very few of them, and none for tracking of its own.
2. Cookies and storage we set ourselves
- Local storage, not cookies. Your API keys (encrypted), the setting that skips the landing page, and editor preferences are kept in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device except to run the jobs you start, and they are not used to identify you.
- No analytics. We run no analytics script and set no analytics cookies.
3. Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)
The site is funded by ads served through Google AdSense. Google, and the advertising partners it works with, may set cookies and read existing ones to: show ads relevant to you based on this and other sites you have visited, limit how often you see the same ad, measure whether an ad was effective, and detect fraud. Google's own description of this is at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before personalised advertising cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time from the consent banner.
4. How to control cookies
- Opt out of personalised ads from Google at Google Ads Settings.
- Opt out of many third-party advertising cookies at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The tool itself keeps working without any cookies; only ad personalisation is affected.
5. Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top of the page shows the current version. Questions: hello@shortsai.app.
